On October 4 the Royal Canadian Mint launched the final coin in the popular series entitled “Tall Ships Legacy,” which has focused on a variety of ships that are associated with Canada’s own maritime history or that have contributed to Canadian exploration. The last ship to be highlighted in this gold-coin series is the HMS Discovery, an especially important ship to Canada, the West Coast of North America, and the United States in general due to the valuable information gathered during her exploration of the region
