The Netherlands Antilles was a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands located in the Caribbean. Originally a Dutch colony, the various islands are also known as the Dutch Caribbean and included various popular tourist destinations such as Curacao, Sint Maarten, and Aruba (the latter of which became a separate country of the Netherlands in 1986)
