Romania: New gold coin issued to remember the centenary anniversary of the end of the First World War

The National Bank of Romania has issued (29th May) new gold coins which mark the centenary anniversary of both the end of the First World War and the territorial additions to the country gained as part of the peace treaty which officially ended the hostilities.
Romania’s territorial gains during the negotiations, which ratified the Treaty of Versailles, were quite substantial, having taken control of a great portion of Transylvania away from the former Austro-Hungarian Empire and what had previously been under the authority of Hungary

Canada: Centenary anniversary of armistice of the Great War honoured on new large silver coin

The Royal Canadian Mint have launched a new large-size silver coin which is in tribute to the 100th anniversary of the armistice which ceased hostilities of the Great War in Europe, later referred to as the First World War. Great Britain was in the alliance from the start of hostilities in 1914 which included the French Republic and Imperial Russia — later to include the armed forces of the United States

The following are descriptions of the artist submissions which won the most votes from Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) members for the gold, silver, and clad versions (obverse and reverse) of the upcoming American Legion coins:
Gold Obverse
AL-G-O-03 commemorates the inception of the American Legion and its mission to serve America and its war veterans. The outer geometric rim design from the American Legion emblem, the Eiffel Tower, and V for victory represent the formation of the organization in Paris in 1919 at the end of World War I
