United Kingdom: Sneak peek at British commemorative coins for 2019

The Royal Mint has launched (1st January) the British commemorative coins that will be featured in 2019 and which will be included in deluxe Mint and Proof sets. Included in the Brilliant Uncirculated annual coin set, which contains the eight definitive circulation coins (one penny to 50-pence) presented together to complete the “picture-puzzle” design by Matthew Dent featuring the Royal Arms that was introduced to British coinage in 2008

United Kingdom announces that a commemorative 50-pence coin will be issued to mark Brexit

It was announced and confirmed today by HM Treasury in the United Kingdom that they will officially issue a commemorative coin to mark the departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union, commonly referred to as Brexit. The announcement was made after the delivery of the annual budget speech by the Finance Minister Philip Hammond, who is referred to as the Chancellor of the Exchequer to the House of Commons
