ANA Officially Cancels 2020 World’s Fair of Money

The American Numismatic Association (ANA) Board of Governors voted on July 14 to officially cancel the 2020 World’s Fair of Money, the organization announced in a July 16 statement.
The show was originally scheduled for Aug. 4-8 in Pittsburgh, Pa; however, COVID-19 restrictions made continuing with the Pittsburgh event unfeasible, and the Board voted in mid-June to postpone the event while it considered alternate sites and dates

RCNA 2020 Convention Canceled

June Long Beach Expo Canceled, Heritage Relocates Auction

The Long Beach Expo on the West Coast has canceled its June 2020 expo due to the ongoing COVID-19 health pandemic and in compliance with Governor Gavin Newsom’s March 12, 2020, Executive Order to cancel all large gatherings, according to a May 13 press release. The Long Beach Expo plans to return to the Long Beach Convention Center, Sep. 17-19, 2020

ANA Cancels 2020 Summer Seminars

The 2020 Summer Seminar, scheduled for June 27-July 9 in Colorado Springs, Colo., has been canceled due to coronavirus (COVID-19) safety concerns, the American Numismatic Association (ANA) announced in an April 4 statement.
“While it seemed inevitable with each passing week, we were officially notified by Colorado College today that they are suspending all summer programs and camps in order to ‘restrict participants who have traveled to or from affected areas’ associated with the coronavirus pandemic,” says ANA Executive Director Kim Kiick

Weir Farm Coin Launch and Forum Canceled

According to the Mint in an official statement, The United States Mint, in consultation with the National Park Service, has canceled the Weir Farm National Historic Site 2020 America the Beautiful Quarters® Launch and Coin Forum events that were scheduled for April 6 & 7, 2020.
This preventive action is being taken in the interest of the health and well-being of employees, visitors, volunteers, and partners.

Central States 2020 Convention Canceled, Auction Moved

The Central States Numismatic Society has canceled its 2020 Convention April 22-25 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
“Our focus is the safety and health of our booth holders, exhibitors, collectors, and the general public.  Therefore, in accordance with recommendations from health officials to cease activities where people gather together in large and close groups, we are canceling our convention,” CSNS President Mitch Ernst said
